The Gauteng Provincial Government is looking to employ a Financial Clerk.
Job Summary
Duties :
Assist in budget capturing and allocations. Budget allocation and capturing of SCOA allocation in RLS01; Capturing of journals on SAP on a weekly basis and the clearing of suspense accounts monthly. Check, record and process payment request from Central Office and Gauteng College Of Nursing Campuses; Capture payments on college account; Reconcile payments made daily in the payment register; Ensure that supplier’s reconciliations are done weekly and proper handling of queries; Process supplier payments on E-Invoicing and ensure payments in the web-cycle are processed within the prescribed time frames; compile accruals and sent to head office monthly; liaise with end-users and other stake holders on resolving of supplier queries, assist with transport related activities involving finance. Assisting in other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time; attend meetings and training as delegated by supervisor.
Qualifications and ExperienceRequirements :
Grade 12 (Matric), National diploma/undergraduate degree in Financial Management or equivalent related qualification will be an added advantage. Computer literacy. 0-2 years’ experience in finance or related field will be an added advantage. Computer Skills (Ms Office). Knowledge of BAS and SAP will be an added advantage. Knowledge of the relevant Acts and prescripts (Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Division of Revenue Act (DoRA), Public Service Act etc.).
